Ardencote Manor | Birmingham Wedding Photography – Natalie & Alex

Ardencote Manor | Birmingham Wedding Photography – Natalie & Alex

Ardencote Manor Wedding Photography | Natalie & Alex

Upon meeting Natalie & Alex and finding out I was going to be shooting at the stunning Ardencote Manor, I was overjoyed! This is such a wonderful venue and as a Birmingham wedding photographer it offers so much opportunity. In our first meeting we chatted about the style of wedding photography Birmingham the couple enjoyed. Both Natalie & Alex love the candid approach, with some posed images alongside them. From hearing this description I just knew we would work together wonderfully.

Ardencote Manor was a venue I had been longing to do Birmingham wedding photography at. To get great images I like my clients to be relaxed and comfortable. Both Natalie & Alex were such lovely people I knew right away we would have a good connection.

Natalie & Alex Were Already Prepared For Their Birmingham Wedding Photography

Prior to the wedding at Ardencote Manor, I had met with Natalie & Alex for their engagement shoot. We had a lovely day in Bruton Park in Solihull and the couple really got to grips with posing. At first Alex was a little nervous but after I had given him some pointers he was such a pro. I love to do engagement shoots before the big day, as it really helps to get you comfortable in front of the camera. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I believe it is my responsibility to guide you to the best of my ability. For me wedding photography Birmingham is about making you everlasting beautiful imagery. Have a look at Natalie & Alex’s engagement shoot Here.

The Big Day At Ardencote Manor Had Finally Arrived

Before heading over to Ardencote Manor it was time to photograph Natalie getting ready. Wedding photography Birmingham of the bride is one of my favourite times to be creative. Typically this is one of the only parts of a wedding that I get a little more time. With the atmosphere so wonderful at Natalie mums house, I was really able to capture the moments unfolding in front of me. Natalie was having her makeup done by the window which made for perfect lighting. As a Birmingham wedding photographer lighting is a big part of my workflow. When I can use gorgeous natural light it makes me very happy. I love the look and feel it gives to my wedding photography Birmingham.

So with Natalie now in her dress, it was time for me to head over to Ardencote Manor. Arriving early I quickly took some establishing shots of the venue in all it’s splendour. I always love to add some landscape images to my wedding photography Birmingham. I really feel it brings the whole album together nicely. With the guests now arriving I was able to capture some wonderful candid moments. It was extra special as most of Natalie’s extended family from Italy had travelled over. I felt so privileged to document these intimate scenes as many of the family hadn’t seen one another in a very long time.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At Ardencote Mannor, Birmingham

With all the guests now seated in the beautiful outdoor setting that Ardencote Manor provided, it was time for Natalie & Alex to be wed. It had been a dream for the couple to be married outdoors and with the weather holding off I was so pleased this became a reality for them. Wedding photography Birmingham can be so unpredictable and I have to be prepared for anything! The service was wonderful, filled with so much emotion. It really was a joy to document these precious moments for Natalie & Alex.

As a Birmingham wedding photographer I have worked at many breathe taking venues. I must admit Ardencote Manor is certainly in my top 5 favourite venues to date. With the beautiful water features and rolling landscapes behind the ceremony it really was magical.

Now the ceremony was over I just had to get some portraits of the new Mr & Mrs in this wonderful setting. We spent around half an hour making the most of the scenery that Ardencote Manor provided. I’am thrilled with the images I was able to capture for Natalie & Alex. Mother nature really played her part well, as the sun began to shine as I was photographing this part of the day. As a Birmingham wedding photographer it makes me so happy with things come together for my clients.

Highlights From The Rest Of The Day At Ardencote Manor

I could say so much about how the rest of the day went but I will try to keep it brief. The speeches were hilarious and even I was struggling to keep it together. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I do try to be professional at all times but speeches can be hard! Fast forward a few hours after the wedding breakfast I took Natalie & Alex back out for some more portraits. The light was simply stunning and I just had to get some more shots for them.

The biggest surprise I had at Ardencote Manor was when Natalie & Alex started to dance. In secret they had been planning a very differnt kind of first dance. Most of my clients including myself tend to sway for the first dance. To all our amazement this was not the case for Natalie & Alex! They started to do a really professional ballroom routine! After the initial shock I quickly composed myself and began to capture this wonderful scene.

Thank You For Having As Your Birmingham Wedding Photographer

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank Natalie & Alex for choosing me to capture their wedding photography Birmingham. It was an amazing day at Ardencote Manor and a pleasure to document your special day. If you’re planning on getting married and are interested in my wedding photography Birmingham services please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you, I don’t just work in Birmingham and the West Midlands I love to shoot all over the country and overseas. Have a look at the picturesque Ardencote Manor in Birmingham Here.

New Hall Hotel | Wedding Photographer Birmingham – Jo & Stephen

New Hall Hotel | Wedding Photographer Birmingham – Jo & Stephen

New Hall Hotel Wedding Photographer Birmingham | Jo & Stephen

When Jo first contacted me I was delighted to find out the wedding would be at New Hall Hotel. Only living a few minutes from the venue I was very aware of how beautiful it was and the potential it has. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I always get excited when I’am able to work at such wonderful venues. Wedding photography is what I love but it really does help when the backdrop is as stunning as New Hall Hotel.

For those who don’t know about New Hall Hotel, it is a hidden gem in Sutton Coldfield. This medieval Manor house complete with surrounding moat is the perfect setting to tie the knot. I just couldn’t wait for their wedding photography Birmingham at New Hall Hotel.

So The Big Day Had Finally Arrived At New Hall Hotel

Arriving early as always, I was able to get some really nice establishing shots. New Hall Hotel provides a wonderful palette to work with and my creative mind was in full force. With the endless possibilities for portraits I just knew we were going to get something magical. Having captured the scene it was now time to head up to the bridal suite and find Jo.

Upon entering the room I was taken aback by the bubbly atmosphere. Children running around playing and everyone in great spirits, I just knew this was going to be a lovely afternoon. Not to mention as a Birmingham wedding photographer I was extremely happy with the lighting. New Hall Hotel provided gorgeous lighting to really help me tell the story in a unique way.

Jo & Her bridal party just didn’t stop smiling & laughing throughout, which made my job effortless. For me as a Birmingham wedding photographer I couldn’t ask for anything more. I’m very pleased with how the final images came out.

Photographing The Ceremony At New Hall Hotel

Now it was time for one of my favourite moments of the day, the ceremony! As a Birmingham wedding photographer I’m always searching for emotion and beautiful moments. There are seldom better times then the ceremony to document such raw emotion. The room was absolutely breath taking, a real privilege to behold. Working from the back of the room I used a longer lens to bring Jo & Stephen in closer. Using this technique allowed me to really portray their love for one another.

It was such a lovely service at New Hall Hotel and I was so pleased with the pictures I was able to capture. Moments like these are so fleeting it’s crucial you don’t miss any! As a Birmingham wedding photographer I pride myself in capturing these ever lasting memories.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At New Hall Hotel, Birmingham

With the ceremony now over we all headed out into the gardens for family formals and portraits. For most of the morning it had been overcast but the sun was now out in all it’s glory! As a Birmingham wedding photographer I had to think on my feet to find the perfect spot for these precious images. In between getting everyone out for their pictures I like to capture the natural moments that unfold. I have included a few of these below, personally I think this type of image makes for great Birmingham wedding photography.

With the weather staying true it was time for Jo & Stephens portraits. I had been waiting for this time to come all day! New Hall Hotel gave me so many differnt compositions I was literally spoilt for choice. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I’am always striving to make you something differnt and unique. I worked hard to make sure I did that for Jo & Stephen. Jo had said to me that she really wanted some images under the tunnel of trees. I made sure we spent a good amount of time their and I’m so happy she loves those pictures. Having captured a wide range of portraits it was now time to let the couple go and enjoy the rest of their day.

Time To Continue The Party At New Hall Hotel, Birmingham

For the next hour I was standing back with a long lens documenting the day as it happened. This is my favourite way to shoot as a Birmingham wedding photographer. I really come alive when I’m free to be creative and let my clients enjoy the moments uninterrupted. It was now time for the sit down meal, so we all headed back inside. The room looked incredible, Jo & Stephen had gone to so much trouble to make sure it was perfect. I captured all the small details and the space itself before getting more candids of the guests.

With my time at New Hall Hotel almost over I wanted to capture the evening location. I wasn’t working a full day for Jo & Stephen but I still love to give my clients as complete feel to their album as possible. For me as a Birmingham wedding photographer I take this very seriously and it is a massive part of my business ethos.

Thank You For Choosing Me To Document Your Wedding Photography At New Hall Hotel

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank Jo & Stephen for allowing me to document their Birmingham wedding photography. It was an unforgettable day and a pleasure to witness and capture your precious memories. If you’re planning on getting married and are interested in my Birmingham wedding photography services please don’t hesitate to get in touch. San Giovanni Restaurant | Wedding Photography – Amy & James

San Giovanni Restaurant | Wedding Photography – Amy & James

San Giovanni Restaurant Wedding Photography | Amy & James

When I first met Amy & James I was really excited about potentially working at San Giovanni Restaurant. Many of my close friends have only glowing reviews to share about it. Amy & James like myself are dog owners and we certainly share the same passion for our fury companions. After discussing my style of Birmingham wedding photography with them for a little while I was happy to discover they really enjoy the more candid approach.

I just knew San Giovanni Restaurant would be perfect for my style of wedding photography. For me as a Birmingham & Solihull based wedding photographer I love to shoot in a photojournalistic fashion. It is very important for me to portray your wedding as it happens without staging too many moments. I don’t mind moving furniture and helping a moment along but I don’t want the whole day to be a photoshoot. On this occasion I did end up moving a few tables at San Giovanni Restaurant but I really think the end result was worth it!

Have a look at Amy & James’s engagement shoot Here.

The Big Day Had Finally Arrived At San Giovanni Restaurant

Before the ceremony at San Giovanni Restaurant I headed over to Amy’s mums house. As I arrived the girls were all in great spirits and I found their humour extremely entertaining. It really was a pleasure to capture Birmingham wedding photography of these precious moments.

Each and every wedding I shoot I always try to make my images truly unique. I love the challenge as a Birmingham wedding photographer that every new wedding provides. The weather had been very mixed for a few hours in the morning but the light at Amy’s mums was beautiful. Luckily for us the rain was short lived and that was to be the last of it. With the bridal party now ready it was time to head over to the beautiful San Giovanni Restaurant.

Wedding Photography Birmingham At San Giovanni Restaurant

San Giovanni Restaurant is smart modern restaurant with designer touches in a romantic lakeside setting. This picturesque location really was perfect for a wedding. My mind was already racing with ideas for Amy & James’s Wedding photography. Arriving early I was able to capture the scene before everyone arrived. This is something I always aim to do as a Birmingham wedding photographer. I love landscape & interior images and I believe it really enhances the story. Not to mention when your couples have spent time and effort making a space look amazing, it should be remembered!

How As A Birmingham Wedding Photographer I Shot The Ceremony

So now it was time for one of favourite parts of the day. Amy & James had picked a simply stunning part of San Giovanni Restaurant to tie the knot. With gorgeous bay windows the light was simply stunning. This was accompanied by a violinist playing, which really brought the whole thing together perfectly. I could already feel the emotion in the room and it really shows in their wedding photography. With so much joy surrounding a ceremony I didn’t have to look far to capture beautiful photographs. Amy & James had written their own vows which was very unique and special. I wasn’t short of wonderful moments and this is what I hope for as a Birmingham wedding photographer.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At San Giovanni Restaurant, Birmingham

With Amy & James now legally married it was time for them to enjoy the rest of their special day. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I was eager to take advantage of San Giovanni Restaurant’s wonderful vistas. Once we had taken all the family formal images I took the couple out into the grounds to take some portraits. I was really thrilled with the photographs I captured of Amy & James. Although In the back of my mind I had the idea of finding even more locations later in the day and will talk about that very soon!

The time now for speeches had now arrived and I was in for a treat. I do find this time of the day enjoyable at weddings but this was especially hilarious. Some jokes I won’t repeat but favourite children were mentioned which caused hysteria in the room! San Giovanni Restaurant provided the perfect backdrop for me to capture these precious memories. As a wedding photographer based in Birmingham I pride myself in not missing important images such as these. I hope the pictures below portray how amazing this part of the day was!

Memorable Moments & Time To Continue The Party

With our time at San Giovanni Restaurant coming to a close it was time to continue the party elsewhere. On our way to the next destination we stopped off at some local farmland. Myself & The videographer had asked Amy & James if they would be up for finding somewhere to do more portraits. I had spotted an amazing field that offered incredible views, however there was one problem…. it had a farmers gate denying us from entry. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect Amy to be up for climbing over!! I’m so pleased that she did as these were my favourite images from the whole day.

Sometimes to get the best Birmingham wedding photography you have to go the extra mile. I think Amy understood this and really was a good sport! We then headed over to Amy’s Mums. Amy & James had a marque setup for all their evening guests. I was most impressed by the effort that had gone into the reception. It really was an amazing achievement and looked fab! With the decorations and details looking wonderful, to the pictures of the couple dotted around it was a perfect setting. The rest of the evening was magical and I was very honoured to be part of such a unique wedding.

Thank You For Choosing Me To Document Your Wedding Photography At San Giovanni Restaurant

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank Amy & James for allowing me to capture their wedding photography Birmingham. Fairlawns Hotel | Wedding Photographer Birmingham – Sarah & James

Fairlawns Hotel | Wedding Photographer Birmingham – Sarah & James

Sarah & James’s Birmingham Wedding Photography At Fairlawns Hotel

When first meeting Sarah & James about their Birmingham wedding photography, I instantly had a good feeling about this couple. Finding out that I would be working at the stunning Fairlawns Hotel was the icing on the cake. Myself and James also have a shared interest in a certain genre of music. This was great to chat to him about over the months leading up to the wedding.

I think it’s very important as a wedding photographer to not just be a person my clients hire, but also a friend. I have remained good friends with so many of my previous clients, which I’m very grateful for. When you book me for your wedding photography your letting me witness some of the most precious moments of your lives. Being your friend and not just a person taking images will make for great pictures!

The Morning Of The Wedding, Capturing Beautiful Wedding Photography

So the big day had finally arrived. Before going to Fairlawns Hotel it was time for everyone to get ready. This is a part of the day I look forward to. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I’m constantly looking for moments. There a few better times than before the ceremony when the bride is nervous and excited to capture these precious memories.

Upon arriving at Sarah’s parents house I’m greeted with a bubbly atmosphere. Everyone was in such good spirits and it was a joy to photograph. With every new wedding that I photograph I’m always looking for new ways to showcase the scene. This was no exception I moved around the space as much as I could. I do this to portray my wedding photography in a unique light.

Now It Was Time To Head Over To Fairlawns Hotel, Birmingham

Arriving at the stunning Fairlawns Hotel we were greeted by some beautiful sunshine. For most of the morning it had been overcast but things were certainly looking up now! We headed up to the bridal suite for some finishing touches to the girls make up. The lighting was fantastic and I was able to get some great wedding photography. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I’m always looking for the best light possible. I have no problem moving furniture around to get you the perfect shot.

Again the atmosphere was so positive, everyone was in such high spirits. It was effortless for me to capture the joy in the room.

Wedding Photography Of The Ceremony At Fairlawns Hotel, Birmingham

With all the guests at Fairlawns Hotel, it was time for the ceremony. The room was beautifully decorated and people were full of excitement for Sarah’s arrival. I now turned my attention to James who was looking a little nervous awaiting his bride. It’s in this moment as a Birmingham wedding photographer I like to focus on the groom. Capturing the moment before his future wife arrives is so special. For me wedding photography should tell a story you can relive years later by looking at your images.

With rings and vows exchanged it was now time for James to kiss his wife. Again for me this moment is so crucial being in the right position to capture it. Wedding photography Birmingham keeps me on my toes as I pride myself in not missing these fleeting moments.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At Fairlawns Hotel, Birmingham

With the ceremony now over it was time to continue the day at Fairlawns Hotel. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I like to get the family pictures done at this point of the day if I can. My aim is to cause as little disruption as possible during your special day. By doing this soon after the ceremony I’m hopefully allowing you and your guests more time to enjoy the occasion. James & Sarah graciously let me do this and to my delight things ran smoothly.

I then took the couple off for some wedding photography alone. I love to have 20-30 minutes with just the bride and groom to really focus on some memorable portraits. James & Sarah were so relaxed and I’m very happy with the images we got. We even managed to get out again later that evening to take advantage of the sunset at Fairlawns Hotel.

Now it was time for the speeches, I can honestly say I haven’t laughed that much for awhile at a wedding! It really was a joy to photograph, you can see the emotion on the images below.

Some Memorable Moments For Me As A Birmingham Wedding Photographer

I couldn’t write this blog and not mention that Sarah & James had a magician at their wedding. Having seen a few in my time doing wedding photography, I was most impressed on this occasion. I have always loved watching magic tricks but myself and the guests were blown away by this particular performance. Honestly I can’t recommend having a magician at your wedding enough. The guests and I were entranced!

Finally James had asked me for an image of him and Sarah walking away while he was clicking his heels. Straight away I agreed to do this as I knew it would be hilarious to photograph. Have a look at the wedding photography Birmingham below to see this. I think it took around 10 attempts 🙂

Thank You For Having Me To Document Your Wedding Photography At Fairlawns Hotel.

Henley Golf Club | Wedding Photography Birmingham – Kate & Ben

Henley Golf Club | Wedding Photography Birmingham – Kate & Ben

Kate & Ben’s Birmingham Wedding Photographer At Henley Golf Club

From the first moment I met this wonderful couple, I knew I’d love to be their wedding photographer. I was even more thrilled to find out they were to be married at the stunning Henley Golf Club. Having seen images from this venue, I knew there would be many opportunities for gorgeous wedding photography.

Both Kate & Ben love to travel. This is something I too hold close to my heart. It was safe to say I was extremely jealous when I discovered the location for their honeymoon! I knew that wedding photography meant a lot to this couple and I was excited to work with them.

Have a look at Kate & Ben’s engagement shoot here – Here.

Arriving Early At Capelli’s Hairdressers For The Preps Photography

So the big day was finally here and I arrived bright and early to capture those precious moments. Kate had chose to get ready at her local salon. It was a lovely setting and the atmosphere was palpable. Everyone was in good spirits and having a great time. For me this is the perfect setting for wedding photography as I love to document emotion.

As a Birmingham wedding photographer I love to create a unique perspective on a situation and Capell’s offered me that. Catching a reflection from one of the many mirrors, or silhouetting against the bay windows. So now with the girls hair and makeup complete it was time to head over to the Church. Followed by Henley Golf Club.

Corpus Christi Church, Birmingham For The Ceremony

When arriving at this extremely unique building, I was blown away by it’s beauty. The inside of Corpus Christi Church is a sight to behold. I have never seen such an incredible ceiling. This is why I love being a Birmingham wedding photographer, getting to see all these wonderful locations. When my clients give me such a beautiful canvas to work with wedding photography is a joy.

Before the Bride and Groom arrive I like to photograph the guests candidly. For most weddings family and friends haven’t seen one another all together in along time. Capturing the emotion in this situation is wonderful. I was now thinking about all the moments I would be able to capture later in the day at Henley Golf Club.

Kate & Ben had decided to have a Catholic service and it was a privilege to witness it. I have only done a few Catholic ceremonies and this was equally as special.

Birmingham Wedding Photography At Henley Golf Club

Now it was time to head over to Henley Golf Club for the rest of the day. Nestled on the outskirts of the beautiful market town of Henley, one mile away from the River Thames, Henley Golf Club is the perfect location for wedding photography. The grounds are simply beautiful and now my mind was racing with ideas for Kate & Ben’s portraits.

In the build up to the wedding, Kate had mentioned to me that we might go out into the Golf Course for some portraits. To my delight we would be using golf karts to get around! In the weeks leading up to the wedding Kate & Ben had found some gorgeous locations for wedding photography. Henley Golf Club certainly did not disappoint, as a Birmingham wedding photographer I was in my element.

With the formal photographs and portraits all done it was now time for the speeches. This is one of my favourite times during a wedding. Being a photographer who looks for emotion and candid reactions this is a great time for me. Wedding photography Birmingham was made so much easier by the great setup at Henley Golf Club.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At Henley Golf Club, Birmingham

The speeches were an absolute joy to photograph. I was trying really hard not to laugh at the jokes being cracked. As a Birmingham wedding photographer remaining professional at all times is very important to me. However I’am human and during these speeches I did find myself giggling from time to time! There is one image that I captured from this part of the day that really sums it up. Ben had just said something that totally caught Kate and her Mom off guard. Make sure you have a look for that image below 🙂

With the evening guests now arriving at Henley Golf Club, I like to get in amongst the action. The emotion is now back to fever pitch and the drinks have been flowing for a few hours. It’s at this point in the day I love to capture everyone just having a great time. Being a wedding photographer from Birmingham I’m so lucky that I get to be a part of these special occasions. The joy at weddings is what keeps me motivated to keep making ever lasting memories for my clients.

Thank You For Having Me To Document Your Wedding Photography

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank Kate & Ben for choosing me to capture their wedding photography. It was an amazing day at Henley Golf Club and a pleasure to document your special day. The Moat House | Birmingham Wedding Photographer – Charlie & Dave

The Moat House | Birmingham Wedding Photographer – Charlie & Dave

Being Charlie & Dave’s Birmingham Wedding Photographer

When Charlie first got in touch about me being their Birmingham wedding photographer, I was over the moon as I’ve known Dave for years. We knew each other well through my former career as a DJ. Dave having achieved some real success in the industry, it was very humbling to be asked.

I had not previously worked at the stunning Moat House before and was extremely excited. Working at new venues around The Midlands is something I love to do. Doing wedding photography in Birmingham gives me that opportunity and I’m very grateful for it.

Wedding Photography At The Moat House In Staffordshire

The day had finally come and I had just arrived at the gorgeous Moat House in Staffordshire. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I’m always looking for inspiration and this venue offered me so much. With it’s beautiful lakes and lush green pastures I knew I was in for a treat. I had arrived early, just like I would on your wedding day. Getting there ahead of time is key for me and I pride myself in that.

Now it was time to go and find Charlie and her bridal party. I entered the room to such a buzz. The girls were all so relaxed and excited about the big day ahead. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I couldn’t ask for me. When you’re fully relaxed and at ease I can document some wonderful moments for you. I believe you should have a rapport with your photographer, Wedding photography flows so much better when you get on with that person.

So I spent the next few hours moving between the bridal party and the other guests. I like to give you a complete look of your special say and variety is key.

Now It Was Time To Photograph The Ceremony And Emotions Were High

As a Birmingham wedding photographer this is one of those occasions I really look forward to. For me I just love capturing natural moments and this is one of the best times of the wedding to do so. Your final album is so important to me and I want these memories to make you smile for years to come. Capturing beautiful wedding photography at this part of the day is paramount.

Everyone was overjoyed for Charlie and Dave and it really shows in their pictures. No matter how many weddings I shoot in and around the Midlands I will always be humbled. All of my clients graciously let me in to share and witness their special moments.

With the ceremony complete we all headed out to the beautiful gardens at the back of The Moat House. I just knew straight away where I wanted to take the family formal images and I think they’ve come out perfectly.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At The Moat House, Staffordshire

Now it was time to get the bride and grooms portraits. This is one of the most important times when photographing a wedding for me. Most of my clients will use these set of images for prints and to show their friends and family. Having already scouted out a few locations I knew where we could go. To my delight the weather had remained perfect and we had no issues. At the Moat House there is a little jetty that goes out into the lake and makes for a gorgeous setting. When you look at the pictures below you will see how beautiful that spot really is.

As I mentioned earlier for me as a Birmingham wedding photographer variety is key. I took Charlie and Dave to several spots so they would have a mixture of portraits to choose from. With the weather remaining bright we took a few silhouettes too. I love to get creative with my wedding photography Birmingham. Giving you something unique you hadn’t expected is always my goal.

The rest of the day was a joy to be part of. The celebrations went on into the night and I was so pleased to be their Birmingham wedding photographer.

Thank You For Having Me As Your Birmingham Wedding Photographer

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank Charlie & Dave for choosing me as their Birmingham wedding photographer. A Secret Garden Wedding | Wedding Photography – Rose & Dominic

A Secret Garden Wedding | Wedding Photography – Rose & Dominic

Rose & Dominic’s Wedding Photography Birmingham

When I first heard Rose & Dominic’s wedding plans, I was delighted to be doing their wedding photography Birmingham. I knew right from the off this was going to be a very special wedding. The couple had such unique and wonderful plans, I was intrigued from the very start. I just had to know more about this rustic wedding. The plan was to get married in a secret part of their local park. For a very select few family & friends, this was a truly unforgettable experience.

As a Birmingham wedding photographer I have seen many things, this is certainly something I shall never forget. Wedding photography Birmingham gives me such privileged access into peoples lives and I treasure that.

Upon Arriving At The Secret Location In Their Local Park

The day had arrived and it was time to do the wedding photography Birmingham for Rose & Dominic’s wedding. As I drew near to the location, I was looking for the clues to find this special place. Seeing some blue ribbons draped over a lonely tree I knew I was close. I followed a little path through a gap in the tree’s and I had found it. A simply majestic place to get married and totally secluded, well away from prying eyes. As a Birmingham wedding photographer my job never ceases to amaze me. Here I’am in a secret location about to document precious memories for Rose & Dominic.

As I had arrived very early, I was able to scout the area for potential portraits later in the afternoon. This is a time in my wedding photography Birmingham that I like to capture the scene as it is. For me recording the scene when things are quiet is a must. Landscape images of the location really add to your final album and I love being able to tell that part of the story.

Now It Was Time For The Secret Garden Wedding Ceremony

With all the guests ready and having followed the clues to this secluded spot, it was now time for the ceremony. In wedding photography Birmingham the ceremony is a time I love. The raw emotion is palpable and I know I’m only moments away from a wonderful photograph. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I pride myself in capturing such moments. Being in the right place and anticipating this is key. Your wedding is such an important milestone in your lives and should be documented perfectly. My finger was hovering over the shutter the whole time. Rose & Dominic gave me so many wonderful opportunities to make beautiful pictures.

True to the nature of this wedding it wasn’t a traditional ceremony. I hadn’t expected anything less and was very impressed with the rituals that took place. Rose & Dominic cerebrated each of the earthly elements in their vows. I had not seen this performed before and thought it was a real tribute to them both.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded As We Headed To The Reception

With the ceremony finished we headed out into the park to take some portraits. It was a real joy to work with Rose & Dominic as they were so natural in front of the camera. I’m really pleased with how the final images turned out. I think they reflect them as a couple and their unique personalities.

With some beautiful portraits captured it was time to head over to the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath. Again to no surprise this was an incredibly quirky venue. It screamed rustic to me and I was very excited to do more wedding photography Birmingham at this location. With Dominic being a chef he had prepared all the food himself…. It was fantastic, I know this because I was graciously included in the buffet! Rose did some of the cooking too, creating some amazing chocolate brownies.

It was now time for the final part of the day. Speeches are always a time I really look forward too. Being a Birmingham wedding photographer I seek for beautiful candid images. Speeches are a time when these moments happen in abundance. Some really heartfelt words were exchanged along with a few cracking jokes! Lichfield Registry Office | Wedding Photography – Jessica & Gavin

Lichfield Registry Office | Wedding Photography – Jessica & Gavin

Jessica & Gavin’s Wedding Photography

I was delighted to be Jessica & Gavin’s Lichfield wedding photographer. I actually went to school with Jessica which made it even more of a privilege to be photographing her wedding. A few months prior we had all met up in Sutton Park for a family shoot. If you would like to have a look at those images click here. The family were a real pleasure to work with and so laid back it was effortless. Jessica & Gavin’s wedding took place at the beautiful Lichfield Registry office. Being a Photographer based in the West Midlands I had wanted to work at this stunning location for quite sometime. If you are looking for a Lichfield wedding photographer to document your special day please have a look at the images below to get an idea of what I do.

Lichfield Wedding Photographer At Lichfield Registry Office

Lichfield Registration Office was built in 1856. The Ceremony Room has been refurbished to compliment the traditional characters of the building. It is set in a great location within the grounds of Beacon Park and within walking distance of many contemporary and traditional venues which are ideal for a reception or celebration. Having visited the location a few times, I already had idea’s bubbling in my head of what we could do for portraits. Beacon Park really is the perfect backdrop for wedding photography in Birmingham. As your Lichfield wedding photographer, I believe it is very important to know your venue before the big day. Being prepared for you is something I pride myself in. Things should run like clockwork and I want your day to be amazing. Knowing the best places to take great photographs ahead of time is key.

Arriving At Jessica’s House For The Bridal Preparations

Upon arriving at Jessica’s house the atmosphere was electric. The kids were running around excited and the bridal party were in good spirits. The sun had just came out which always makes me happy as a Birmingham wedding photographer. Not too long into photographing Jess and a huge double decker bus came up the street. It was so impressive most of the neighbours came out to take a look! This is something I certainly won’t be forgetting in a hurry. Seeing the old style buses makes for wonderful wedding photography.

Jessica wasn’t to be travelling on the bus, she had her own transport arranged. Her dads original Volkswagen camper van. As i came out to photograph it, her dad was casually pumping up the front tyre. Most brides would have been in ruins thinking they wouldn’t make the ceremony! Not Jessica she was very calm and didn’t seem to worried about it. Within a few minutes dad had fixed the problem and we were good to go!

Now It Was Time For The Wedding Ceremony At Lichfield Registry Office

Getting to Lichfield registry office early I was able to capture all the guests arriving. As a Lichfield wedding photographer I think it’s of paramount importance to document these moments at a wedding. The joy in the air just before a wedding is wonderful to photograph. The ceremony was wonderfully done and a real pleasure to document. You could really see the love between Jessica & Gavin. Now it was time to get out into Beacon Park to take some portraits. Beacon Park offers a stunning vista for wedding photography. I was able to really tell their story and document all the children enjoying the day too.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At The Plough Shenstone

With all the wedding guests back on the bus it was now time to head over to the Plough in Shenstone. This is a venue I’m very familiar with having visited many times for family occasions. A really lovely spot to continue the celebrations for a wedding. We even stopped off at the local hairdressers for a photo and stopped a gentlemen on a Lambretta. This was truly a unique wedding, just the way Jessica & Gavin wanted it. I’m very honoured as their Lichfield wedding photographer to have been involved in this special day.

As a Lichfield wedding photographer I’m always in awe of the things I see at my weddings. The lengths my clients go to, to create such special memories with their family & friends.

Finally the day was rounded off with some very heartfelt speeches. My job as a Lichfield wedding photographer is to portray the emotion as best as I can. I was really able to do this as the speeches were held outside. This gave me plenty of room to move around and get the best possible compositions. A wedding I will certainly never forget, I wish Jessica & Gavin a long and happy future.

A Big Thank You For Having Me As Your Lichfield Wedding Photographer

Packington Moor | Wedding Photography – Amy & Chris

Packington Moor | Wedding Photography – Amy & Chris

Amy & Chris’s Wedding Photography

I was delighted to be Amy & Chris’s wedding photographer at the beautiful Packington Moor. I was extremely honoured to work at this wonderful venue as it has sadly stopped taking future bookings now due to HS2. For years I have wanted to do wedding photography at Packington Moor, as it’s such a picturesque location. From the moment Amy told me where they were getting married my mind was racing. Shortly after I drove up there to have a good scout around. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I was not disappointed, this wedding was going to be special.

Birmingham Wedding Photographer At Packington Moor

Packington Moor is located near Lichfield surrounded by miles and miles of unspoilt countryside. A truly magical location to tie the knot. I knew from being a finalist in the wedding industry awards myself, Packington Moor had won best venue in the West Midlands. A very prestigious title and I could see why. Amy had previoiusly shown me a few examples of some wedding photography she loved. When looking around I knew I could create them something very unique.

As your Birmingham wedding photographer, I believe it is very important to know your venue before the big day. Being prepared for you is something I value dearly. I want things to run like clockwork and your day to be amazing. Knowing the best places to take great photographs ahead of time is key.

Arriving At Packington Moor Lichfield & Bridal Preparations

Upon arriving at Packington Moor I headed to the bridal cottage. Amy & her entourage of bridesmaids were having a great time and the prosecco was flowing. It is such a privilege to work in this environment as a wedding photographer. When people have fun it really does allow me to be creative. With my wedding photography I do like things to be clean and concise. This means I do sometimes move furniture around if it helps a scene. I do this so you can be in the best light and the surroundings look beautiful for your wedding photography.

Packington Moor was no exception, I moved quite a few things around but Amy was more than happy to let me do so. I started off taking some closeup images of the wedding details. This is something I love to document as it really helps to bring your album together. Shortly after I came downstairs to capture some candid moments of the girls all getting ready. Being a wedding photographer from Birmingham I really do get to witness some special times with my clients. I love looking back at the images and seeing the joy on their faces.

Now It Was Time For The Wedding Ceremony & The Barn Looked Incredible

So I had just finished Amy’s wedding photography portraits, it was time to head over to the barn. I was blown away by the effort that had been put into it. It looked simply stunning, a very fitting addition to an already beautiful wedding. Getting all the detail and landscape shots of the ceremony is very important for me. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I like to showcase the whole scene before the guests arrive. When you have spent so much time and effort creating your dream day, I want to portray that perfectly.

The guests had now started to arrive and were all as impressed as I was. The atmosphere was palpable and Chris was starting to look a little nervous. Again another thing I love to do with my wedding photography, is to capture the groom before he see’s his bride. Those moments of anticipation before you say I do are priceless.

The ceremony at Packinton Moor was wonderful. I was able to catch some beautiful moments that Amy & Chris will treasure forever.

How The Rest Of the Day Unfolded At Packington Moor

With spirits high it was now time to get a confetti shot and do some family photo’s. I got the wedding party to make a tunnel for the bride and groom. They were then showered with confetti and I went about capturing the moments. Amy & Chris really love these images in particular which I’m extremely happy about. For me wedding photography is about making my clients happy and looking back at their day with fondness.

Once the confetti had subsided we all headed out to the gardens for some family photographs. I couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop, this venue really does have it all. With a little help from the best man & friends I was able to quickly get all pictures done. I like this part of the day to run smoothly so I get more time with you. Your portraits are important and not something I like to rush. These will be the images you cherish most and will hopefully hang proudly on your wall. As your Birmingham wedding photographer it is my duty to make you wonderful images.

The speeches were fantastic, I was very impressed with everyone who spoke. The whole room was in stitches for most of the time. Have a look below at the images, I think my wedding photography will show you that!

Finally rounding the day off we went out at dusk to do some dramatic images with additional lighting. I’m very pleased with how these turned out. Packinton Moor was the perfect setting for what I had planned.

A Big Thank You For Having Me As Your Wedding Photographer

I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank Amy & Chris for graciously choosing me as their wedding photographer. It was an amazing day at Packington Moor and an absolute pleasure to document your wedding. I wish you both all the best and a long happy life together.

Birmingham Wedding Photography | Philip’s Photo Of The Day, Part 13

Off Camera Flash In My Birmingham Wedding Photography.

Welcome to my latest blog about my Birmingham wedding photography. Today I will be talking all about my off camera flash work and why I love to incorporate it. Being a wedding photographer it is my responsibility to offer you unique and beautiful images. This is just another tool for me to achieve that and when done properly it creates stunning results. This particular style is best performed at night as you can really appreciate the full effect.

You may not want this type of Birmingham wedding photography, but I’m proud to be able to offer it to you. One of the main reasons I love this job so much, is that weddings really do require me to think on my feet. As a wedding photographer I must be able to cope in all situations and act quickly.

What Is The Difference Between Natural Light & Off Camera Flash Wedding Photography?

For 90% of your wedding day I won’t even use flash. I’m a huge advocate of natural light for your wedding but I do embrace off camera lighting at the right time. Natural light is a wonderful light source which looks soft and beautiful. Whenever I can harness it’s power I will bring it into your Birmingham wedding photography. Off camera lighting is for a more dramatic look, giving you a completely different feel. It creates wonderful shadow detail and rim lighting when done properly. Below this post are some examples of how I’ve used it as a wedding photographer in my work.

You’re not just limited to using it during the evening, I will setup up multiple lights during the day if the situation calls for it. Images that simply wouldn’t be possible in high noon are made possible with additional lighting. Being a creative person I love to challenge myself and capture images that you hadn’t expected.

Can I Ask For A Shot I’ve Seen Another Wedding Photographer Do?

One thing I always tell you when booking me is, I love to hear your ideas and embrace them all. I have lots of ideas myself but I’m here to give you the best possible images and that includes inspiration you have. If you have seen some Birmingham wedding photography that you would love to make your own, I will be happy to try. However I will always advise that certain images are dependent on the weather and location. No matter where we are, we will still be able to get something beautiful.

My Style As A Birmingham Wedding Photographer

Most of the day I shoot your wedding with a very candid approach. I really do like to blend into the background and allow you to be yourselves. This is when the magic happens. To create off camera Birmingham wedding photography I will have to pose you . For just a few minutes I will direct you and setup a few light sources but I promise it will be worth it!

Below I have posted an image of Amy & Chris in the evening where I have used two separate lights. It only takes me around 2/3 minutes to prepare and I just let you relax and enjoy a moment alone. Creating that look cannot be achieved with natural light and I think it can really add to your album.

After 5-10 minutes you will be back to the party and enjoying the rest of your night. In a short time I will able to create some life long memories you will cherish forever.

Looking For A Birmingham Wedding Photographer To Capture Your Precious Memories?

Thank you for reading my Birmingham wedding photography blog. I hope my passion is coming through and you see how much it means to me. This is what I love and I’d be honoured to work with you. My aim is to reply to all enquires within hours not days as I want this experience to be great from the start. From your first e-mail to receiving the final album, this should be the most special experience.

With my Birmingham wedding photography I don’t just work around the Midlands, I shoot weddings all over the UK and abroad. I absolutely love travelling, so please don’t think I wouldn’t want to shoot your wedding wherever you’re based.
