Coton House Farm Wedding Photographer | Dom & Joy
Being Dom & Joy’s Coton House Farm Wedding Photographer
When Dom & Joy first got in contact, I was delighted to their Coton House wedding photographer. This was a venue I’d always wanted to work at as a Birmingham wedding photographer. I will never forget this incredible wedding as it was so unique. This gorgeous venue is every Birmingham wedding photographers dream. It truly is a marvellous location and I’m so proud to now have it in my Birmingham wedding photography portfolio.
I’am so excited for you all to see how this amazing day unfolded. From the moment I began to the last shutter click it was a wonderful wedding. I really hope the emotion I experienced and documented comes across in these images. I’am extremely grateful to Dom & Joy for having me as their Coton House Farm wedding photographer.
How Dom & Joy’s Birmingham Wedding Photography Began
It was a wet summers morning and I had arrived early for bridal prep. In spite of the weather everyones spirits could not be dampened. Joy is one of the happiest brides I’ve ever worked with, so a little rain wasn’t going to worry her. Rain is one of those things you just cannot control in Birmingham wedding photography. I always say just embrace it and enjoy the day, it really isn’t an issue. So many fun and interesting shots can be taken in the rain.
The whole bridal party and Joy’s family were great to work with. When everyone is full of love and happiness, It’s times like this when it really is so easy to be a Birmingham wedding photographer. This leaves me only having to take care of my lighting and my composition, giving me the freedom to really get creative, which I love!
I was their Coton House Farm wedding photographer for nearly 12 hours. This really allowed me to showcase their story of a truly amazing day. When I have additional time like that, I really let my creative energy flow and can capture so many more unique photographs.
How The Ceremony Unfolded
Upon arriving at the Church the heavens had opened but this was not going to effect anyones mood. Inside the church was buzzing with anticipation. It was such a gorgeous building I couldn’t wait start my Birmingham wedding photography. I absolutely love photographing church weddings as they have such character. This really suits my style of Birmingham wedding photography as I love to capture candid images. I also always try and capture a wide angle of the scene to really help tell the story.
Now it was time for Joy to arrive, she had braved the weather and came in with the biggest smile. I just love this part of Birmingham wedding photography, it really is a privilege to witness these special times. The ceremony was amazing and full of beautiful moments. Dom especially was quite emotional on first seeing Joy which i think is lovely to see. You could really feel the love between this wonderful couple. As their Coton House Farm wedding photographer, it was really was special to be a part of it all.
With the ceremony now over, it was time to head over to Coton House Farm, which is stunning venue over in Whittington. I was so excited to photograph here for the first time, after hearing nothing but rave reviews. As a Birmingham wedding photographer I’am so fortunate to work at all these stunning locations.
How The Rest Of The Day At Coton House Farm Unfolded
Upon arriving at Coton House Farm, I was really happy to see the weather was changing in our favour! This was exciting as most of this gorgeous venue is based outdoors. Dom & Joy had gone to great lengths to make it look stunning. As a Coton House Farm wedding photographer I just loved the gorgeous vistas this location provided. All the guests made their way outside to enjoy the games and entertainment provided.
Inside the marque was decorated beautifully, down to every little detail. In my Birmingham wedding photography I love to capture the essence of the details. There was no shortage of inspiration here with so many lovely things to shoot.
Speeches, Food & Special Moments At Coton House Farm
Now with everyone sat ready for the speeches, it was time for the fun to begin. I really do enjoy this time a lot as a Birmingham wedding photographer. This is a bold statement as I’ve covered a lot of weddings but this was to be the funniest set of speeches I’ve ever heard. I found it very hard to remain professional as the best men and grooms brother were on fine form. It really is special be be part of my couples story and a real perk of the job to witness these precious moments.
The speeches were heart felt, emotional and very, very funny as mentioned above! As a Coton House Farm wedding photographer I cannot thank Dom & Joy enough for allowing me to be their photographer. So now with everything said and done it was time to let everyone start there evening meal. It was a delicious 3 course meal which I was lucky enough to sample myself. This certainly is one of the many benefits of the job. Over this wedding season I have eaten some delightful cuisine.
