Highbury Hall Wedding Photographer | Jodie & Ben

Being Jodie & Ben’s Highbury Hall Wedding Photographer

When Jodie first got in contact, I was thrilled to be their Highbury Hall wedding photographer. This stunning location in Birmingham is somewhere I’d longed to photograph. As a Birmingham wedding photographer, I love nothing more than getting to experience all these incredible venues. This was a memorable and unique wedding in so so many ways! This picturesque venue is perfect for Birmingham wedding photography. It truly is a wonderful building and I’m so proud to now showcase it in my Solihull wedding photography portfolio.

I’am really excited for you to browse the photographs from this special day. From the second I began to the last shutter click, it was an incredible wedding filled with so many moments. I really hope the emotion I witnessed and captured comes across in my Birmingham wedding photography. I’am extremely grateful to Jodie & Ben for having me as their Highbury Hall wedding photographer.

How Jodie & Ben’s Birmingham Wedding Photography Began

I photographed this delightful wedding in August of this year. The summer we had in 2018 has been one of the best since 1976, so this was set to be a fabulous day! I can honestly say I’ve not photographed this many sunny weddings in one year before. We were truly blessed with the weather at Highbury Hall.

As Jodie & Ben’s Highbury Hall wedding photographer I was very excited to get started. I arrived early and got all my establishing shots of the venue. This for me is key, as I love to tell a complete story of the day. For me Birmingham wedding photography is about capturing every little detail. Shortly after I’d finished setting the scene Jodie arrived with her bridal party. We headed up to the bridal suite, which was absolutely stunning! I knew the moment I walked in I’d be able to capture some wonderful images. Being a Birmingham wedding photographer, I’m always on the lookout for amazing lighting. Highbury Hall did not disappoint, one of the images I captured from this wedding is one of my favourites from this year!

With Jodie & her bridal party in great spirits, my job as her Highbury Hall wedding photographer was made so much easier!

How The Rest Of The Day At Highbury Hall Unfolded

It was now time to take Jodie & Ben out into the grounds for some portraits. As a Highbury Hall wedding photographer I knew these grounds were simply stunning! Capturing these images on a wedding day is one of my favourite times. It’s often nice for the couple to get away for 10-15 minutes and take stock of this special day. From my own experience, I really enjoyed getting away from the crowds on my wedding day. A few minutes away with your new husband or wife is just magical. This is also one of the most rewarding parts of being a Birmingham wedding photographer. It’s usually these image that the couple treasure forever and print for their home.

I take real care with my posing and positioning for the portrait session. Your Birmingham wedding photography should reflect you as a couple. Throughout this whole experience from when we first met until this moment, I’ve been working out what you both love in wedding photography. This way I will deliver you the best possible images which you can cherish for a lifetime.

Jodie & Ben really were naturals in front of the camera. We went all around Highbury Hall, really making the most of the amazing grounds.

Speeches, Food & Special Moments At Highbury Hall

With everyone sat and ready for the speeches, it was time for the fun to begin. I really do love this time in my Birmingham wedding photography. It’s at this time in the day when the funny stories come out and the laughs really do begin. Everyone gave really heartfelt speeches with some laughs along the way. I do always feel so privileged to be a part of my clients wedding. Being witness to these incredible moments is such an honour and it’s a real joy to document it for them.

As a Highbury Hall wedding photographer I cannot thank Jodie & Ben enough for allowing me to be their Birmingham wedding photographer. So now with everything said and done it was time to let everyone start there evening meals. It was a fabulous afternoon tea, which I was lucky enough to sample myself. This certainly is one of the many perks of being a Birmingham wedding photographer. I have never seen an afternoon tea being served at a wedding before. I must admit I’d like to see it more often, such a great idea!

As the day drew to a close, the real memorable moment for me was Jodie’s Grandad. He was in his nineties and boogieing down on the dance floor. If I could be as agile as him at that age, I’d be a very happy man!
