Hundred House Wedding Photographer – Rachel & Pete
“Hi Phil, we love these so much! Thanks again for helping making our day so amazing! We couldn’t of asked for a better photographer 🙂 “
Rachel & Pete
Being Rachel & Pete’s Hundred House Wedding Photographer
When Rachel first contacted me, I was over the moon to be their Hundred House wedding photographer. Having never worked at this stunning venue, I was so excited to be finally working there! In my UK wedding photography business, I’ve been fortunate enough to shoot at so many incredible places. The Hundred House was high on my list, especially as it has just been won some prestigious awards! I can fully see why, it really is a wedding photographers dream to work at. My passion as a Birmingham wedding photographer, is to work at venues as picturesque as this week in week out!
Rachel & Pete’s spring wedding was always going to be wonderful day, as they’re such happy smiley people! In fact I’d go as far as saying, they smiles and laughed the most I’ve ever seen at any wedding I’ve worked!
I so excited to show you all these images from their wedding day. From the minute I started, right up until the dancing had ended, this wedding was simply unforgettable! I hope you can you feel the emotion of this lovely couple in my photographs! To me that is what Birmingham wedding photography is all about. I’d just like to take this opportunity to say how grateful I am, that Rachel & Pete allowed me to be part of their special day. As a Hundred House wedding photographer, I really cannot wait to be back here soon! I’ve also just been added to their recommend supplier list, which is a real honour!
How Rachel & Pete’s Wedding Photography Began!
I photographed the couple’s spring wedding at The Hundred House Hotel in April this year. The weather was beautiful all day, which was so perfect as April can have the odd shower! As a Hundred House wedding photographer, it is my job to be prepared for anything, however the British weather was on our side today!
Arriving in the bridal suite, I was so excited to see how amazing the lighting was. As a Telford wedding photographer I am always hunting for the best light. To top it off, all the girls were in such good spirits, which does allow for my creativity to shine through. The bridal suite at The Hundred House has gorgeous window light, allowing for some artistic and well composed photo’s. I really do love my job as a Solihull wedding photographer, as I get to witness these moments in my clients lives. Weddings truly are special and documenting these precious moments for my couples really is my honour!
Capturing Precious Moments
With Rachel & her bridesmaids adding the finishing touches, it was time to go and find Pete & his groomsmen! Pete had just arrived at the venue and was in an equally good spirit!. I found some beautiful light and we did some portraits. It’s at this time I really like to make it about the groom. Most of the morning ‘It’s all about the bride’ so it’s nice to give the groom some time!
Pete and the lads were all having a laugh, which made photographing them so easy. This is one of the main reasons I just love Birmingham wedding photography. Working around such joy & happiness really brings out my creative spark.
I’m Very Proud To Be A Recommended Hundred House Wedding Photographer!
I can safely say being a Hundred House wedding photographer, this is now one of favourite venues! Since the wedding I have been added to their recommended suppliers list. Rachel & Pete’s album is now proudly in my Birmingham wedding photography portfolio! As a Birmingham wedding photographer, it’s always such an honour to be recommended by a venue, especially one as beautiful as this!
How The Ceremony At The Hundred House Hotel Unfolded
The ceremony room at The Hundred House Hotel is gorgeous! Lots of natural light and in a barn, which you should know by now.. I love barns!
With everyone now seated and eagerly awaiting the bride, it was time for one of my favourite parts of the day… The ceremony! As a Hundred House wedding photographer, I just love photojournalism in my photography business. This is the time when I am always looking for emotion and following laughter.
As a Birmingham wedding photographer, capturing all the wonderful moments that unfold during the ceremony, is so important to me. It really suits my style of Telford wedding photography, as I live for candid & natural moments!
I can tell you that the ceremony was full of emotional and very heartfelt. I always feel so humbled to be preset at this time in my couples life. To my delight the weather was still going strong, meaning we could all make the most of beautiful gardens outside.
HOW THE REST OF THE DAY AT The Hundred House UNFOLDED.
With the ceremony now finished, it was time for the party to begin! The Hundred House Hotel boasts fantastic herb gardens and incredible secluded spaces. Having a location like this at my finger tips, always results in amazing photo’s!
With everyones spirits still sky high and the drinks flowing, this is the time I like to blend into the crowd. For me as a Birmingham wedding photographer, I don’t like to stage things too much. For me it’s all about the story and capturing the day as it unfolds organically.
After sometime enjoying the sunshine, it was time for some portraits of the lovely couple. Rachel & Pete were incredible in front of the camera and this made photographing them so much fun. We had already done an engagement session a few months before, so they knew how to make emotive poses. Not to mention that they never stopped smiling the whole day, it would of been hard to take a bad picture. In fact towards the end of the day, I had to ask them to not smile just for one, so we had a serious shot for the album!
SPEECHES & SPECIAL MOMENTS AT The Hundred House Hotel
Speeches are always one of favourite times during a wedding. The very real & raw emotion surrounding this part of the day is why I love them so much. As a Hundred House wedding photographer, I love nothing more than the reactions I see and the love in the room!
In my Birmingham wedding photography business I pride myself on being professional. However very rarely I do slip up at the speeches. I don’t stop taking wonderful photo’s but sometimes I can’t help but join in with the laughter. This wedding provided one of those rare moments! I will talk about that in more detail later, it was hilarious!
SOMETHING TRULY UNIQUE!
At every wedding there is always something truly unique that happens. In my Birmingham wedding photography I’m always looking for these moments. Amongst all the beautiful candid moments, something always stands out to me. At this Hundred House Hotel wedding I will never forget the speeches!!
I will try and set the scene, although you really did have to be there. Pete’s best man had a large projector setup, on which he kept sharing embarrassing photo’s. I could deal with this part, it was funny but I held it together. Then… he started talking about a holiday they had all had sharing a caravan. Cue the projector, a gif of ‘The Rock’ appears doing his famous ‘Can you smell what the rock is cooking’ taunt. To the side of this was a toxic gas symbol. The best man then proceeded to explain what all this meant, I won’t spell it out for you!
It was at this point I joined the rest of the wedding party in fits of laughter, I couldn’t help it. Rachel & Pete found it hilarious that I too had cracked up!
