“Hi, Phil,

Ah, we’ve watched the album 3 times already!!!

Thank you for making us feel so at ease throughout the process – we both love the photos!!! One of them is going on our wedding invites, so it’s going to be a tough choice! “

Armina & Anton

Birmingham Engagement Photography // Armina & Anton

When I first met Armina & Anton I was at a wedding fayre at the gorgeous ‘Hundred House Hotel’ and couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding. These are two such lovely people and I can’t wait to tell their story through photographs. Birmingham engagement photography is so important and I was thrilled to hear they would like to add a shoot! In my wedding photography business I always really encourage my couples to have an engagement shoot, it makes such a difference!

As I do most of my shoots locally, we all agreed ‘Sutton Park’ would be the best location for their pre-wedding photography. I have also done many shoots in the park over the years and know it well. The time of year we had chosen for the shoot was one of my favourites… summer! For me, Birmingham wedding photography is about making the most of the surroundings and available light. For this reason, I always encourage my clients to do the shoot around sunset, to get that gorgeous golden light! We certainly did get that and I’m so happy for them that the sun was shining brightly!

Nearly all of the couples I meet for engagement shoots have never had professional images before. When booking your Birmingham wedding photographer, I always recommend an engagement shoot, and here are the reasons why. Firstly becoming comfortable with your wedding photographer is key to getting great images on your shoot and wedding day. This can really make or break it when it comes to getting genuinely beautiful photos! Secondly, learning some great poses ahead of the wedding will make the day so much more fun and much less stressful for you. Having extra confidence on your special day will really show in your final photographs.

As a Birmingham wedding photographer, nearly all of my shoots start in a similar way. In the beginning, I like to give you some space, to really be yourselves and enjoy the whole experience. The key to great photography is for you to be comfortable around me. I always love it when my couples see me as a friend, not just a supplier. If you’re relaxed and comfortable with me and the camera it really does show. Capturing your ever-lasting memories is what I love to do and this should be a fun and exciting time!

Armina & Anton really let me lead with their Birmingham engagement photography. I love it when I can just express myself creatively and my couples place their full trust in me. These two really were natural in front of the camera when it came to posing. This allowed me to really get creative and look for unique compositions including silhouettes.

I mentioned earlier when we arrived the weather was just perfect. It stayed like that all evening and I got so many wonderful images for Armina & Anton. I don’t need the sun to be out to get great pics, but it is a nice addition to have. In the UK you really can never plan for it, so it was welcome indeed 🙂

I think for me the most memorable moments from this shoot, would be how funny they are as a couple. I was laughing all the way around with them and their chemistry was so very obvious and infectious! I like to show my couples’ personalities in the images I give them. I really do think I’ve encapsulated that from this Birmingham engagement shoot.

I really cannot wait for Armina & Anton’s wedding in early 2022 at the gorgeous Hundred House Hotel.

Thank you for reading my engagement wedding photography blog post. I hope my passion for UK & Destination wedding photography is coming through and you can see how much it means to me. This is what I love to do and I’d be very humbled to work with you. Being a part of your big day and helping document your special moments, is what I love to do. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch as I’d love to be your wedding photographer and I can’t wait to hear from you.

My aim is to reply to all enquires within hours not days as I want this experience to be amazing from the start. From your first email to receiving your final album, this should be the most memorable experience.

With my Birmingham wedding photography, I don’t just work around the Midlands, I shoot weddings all over the UK and abroad. I absolutely love traveling, so please don’t think I wouldn’t want to shoot your Destination wedding wherever you’re based.
