THORPE GARDEN – A TAMWORTH WEDDING

So this was my first wedding at the stunning Thorpe Garden! To say I was excited would be a huge understatement! I’d been trying to work at this prestigeous Cripps & Co venue for quite sometime! As I always do for any new venue, I arrived early and had a good look around, so when the time came, I’d would know where everything was. With a venue like Thorpe Garden, there’s so many gorgeous places for photos, I just had to find them all!

BRIDAL PREP!

The day started early and just a few miles down the road from Thorpe Garden. Shannon was getting ready at her home accompanided by friends and family. Not forgetting the lovely ‘Mertlot’ there King Charles spaniel! To be honest he stole the show and was quite cleary besotted with Shannon, never leaving her side! We had an amazing morning ahead of the wedding with spirits high and so many awesome moments unfolding! Shannon & Mitch had planned a religeous ceremony at thier local church, before heading over to Thorpe Garden!

THE CEREMONY AT THORPE GARDEN!

If any of you have followed me for awhile, you’ll know how much I love Cripps & Co wedding venues! There’s just something totally magical about them. The way they’re designed and built with great light in mind, makes them my favourite venues to work! Thorpe Garden along with the other Cripps venues, just look out of this world!

As I mentioned earlier the ceremony wasn’t at Thorpe Garden on this occasion, as the couple decided on a religeous service in church. Church weddings are special, as there’s something very profound about being in these grand buildings! The ceremony was so well done and I think everyone in attendence could feel the love in the air! With the ceremony now coming to a close it was time to head over to Thorpe Garden!

THE CELEBRATIONS AT THORPE GARDEN!

So what was the rest of the day like at this Tamworth wedding venue? Being a september wedding, we were lucky enough to all get outside and enjoy the weather and the stunning grounds at Thorpe Garden. There were a few spells of rain, but we managed to avoid it just at the right times! As a wedding photographer, it’s my job to help guide everyone in the event of rain, or any other unforseen English weather! I’m prepared for this and always have a rain plan! We don’t like to use the ‘R’ word on your big day but trust me it’s worth being prepared! Now if it rains at night, you will see me get a little over excited, as we can get some seriously good pics with the raindrops frozen around you!

With the weather holding out perfectly, it was time to take these two love birds off for some photos! Thorpe Garden has so many amazing places to take photos, I really felt spoilt for choice and I am so happy with how they turned out! we even got ‘Merlot’ in for a few!

THE SPEECHES & MOMENTS AT THORPE GARDEN!

Back to the wedding, I just loved the energy of all the guests and the atmosphere really was incredible! Enabaling me to capture some amazing candid photos, please make sure you go and check those out! Especially if you’re considering booking the imncredible Thorpe Garden for your wedding!

So the speeches, Wow! Now this was an atmosphere! Shannon & Mitch walked into huge applause and cheering! Now from a wedding photographers perspective, I was in heaven in this ceremony space! The light, as it is in all Cripps & Co venues is just perfect! Thorpe Garden has been designed and crafted with such care and attension and it really shows, just stunning!

So there were tears, happy ones and lots of laughter! You know it’s a good wedding breakfast, when even the suppliers are finding the speeches funny. Be sure to scroll through the pics below to get an idea of how amazing it was!

THINGS I WON’T FORGET ABOUT THIS THORPE GARDEN WEDDING!

So to wrap it up, Shannon & Mitch had brought along a collection of smoke grenades! I had been anticipating these photos all day, as it was a group shot with the grenades! To my delight the sun was still low in the sky and the rain had passed over. So we went for it!! The resulting photos are one of all my all time favourites with grenades! As if this wasn’t good enough, we got the bubbly out for a chanmpagne spray pic! I even managed to capture this moment with the drone along with some fab ariel footage of the venue! To see that head over to my reels on Instagram!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Shannon & Mitch for allowing me to be a part of their big day! Another huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at Thorpe Garden & Cripps & Co, as per it was flawless!
